Listening to Your Inner Voice

When I was younger I knew what I wanted but didn’t think I could obtain it. I was doing what I was told and going the direction I thought I should be going for other people. Younger me had some issues because I stopped listening to my voice; it got buried under the noise of conformity.

But I never really fit in and that was part of the issue.

When you are so busy trying to fit in you tend to forget that you were made to stand out. You also tend to think there is something wrong with you. Truth be told, there was nothing wrong with me and I can see that now.

If you are feeling a little lost, a little unsettled, a little too different, there is nothing wrong with you. There are so many voices out there and we need to decide what voice we are going to listen to.

When was the last time you listened to your inner voice?

I know it’s tough out there in the wilderness of this crazy world but it’s only when we come back to ourselves and set boundaries for letting the world in can we develop the courage to change our lives for the better.

It’s perfectly okay to seek advice from those you trust but it’s most important to listen to your inner wisdom. The older I get the more I realize how important it is to trust myself and I get better every day at listening to my inner voice.
